About Jackson E. Wilson

I have always had an interest in History and my heritage, I have been working on my family history (documenting) for only several years now. My life started to pick up with my interests in the summer of 2007 when I found a historical society in Newell, West Virginia. I volunteered, staffed, and was a member of this society till Late January of 2011. I loved it here, but was not happy with how the president was treating me (and others), so I decided to throw in the hat and move to greater things.

After I left the society, a very gracious and wonderful person by the name of Kimberly Mitchell put out her hand and offered me the position as the Genealogist on her paranormal research crew known as Ghosting 12 Paranormal Investigations and Historical Research. I loved that so much. It was such an adventure to go out in the middle of the evening, hear a bump in the night, or a scream in the middle of the woods. I was on the crew from January 28th till October 14th of 2011. I loved the ghost hunting hobby, but destiny called again and I decided to move on to follow my own dreams.

I am serving the office as Genealogist on the Oak Glen High School Band Alumni Committee. Earlier this year (2011) there was talk and interest on the “Oak Glen High School Band Alumni” Facebook group of reorganizing a reunion event. After some discussion; we (the ones that were interested, and working towards this goal) organized a committee, and elected (decided) a president. I was given the office as Genealogist on the committee. Am currently serving on this board.

This Blog is dedicated to my adventures (and mis-adventures) in researching my family and local history.
